Enormously concentrated but precise and filigreed, with an almost overwhelming minerality in the almost endless finish. The depth of the red fruit aromas is off the scale. That starts with how it pulls the white rabbit of mind-blowing freshness and purity out of the hat in this very hot and dry vintage. Rode biet.

"A totally classic Beaujolais, but this mind-blowing wine also redefines what Beaujolais can be.

Irissen. Body: Vanille, mokka, kruidnagel, witte peper en aarde. In de smaak Frambozen, kersen, aardbeien, zwarte bes. Kersen, frambozen, lavendel, irissen en rozen.

De geur is intens. Na de gisting rijpt de wijn 11 maanden in eikenhouten vaten en vervolgens 5 maanden in de fles.
Robijnrood met een paarse gloed. De gisting duurt 14 dagen. Tijdens de gisting wordt de 'hoed' (de schilletjes die boven komen drijven) dagelijks naar beneden gedrukt om meer smaak en tannines te onttrekken.

De druiven worden met de hand geplukt en geselecteerd in de wijngaard.
80% van de druiven wordt ontsteeld. De wijnstokken zijn 45 jaar oud. Deze wijngaard ligt op een zanderige ondergrond die rijk is aan mangaan, op een hoogte van 220 meter, en is gericht op het zuid/zuidoosten. Daarmee maakt ze wijnen van de Gamay-druif die al diverse hoge scores kregen van gerenommeerde critici, waaronder Robert Parker, James Suckling en Wine Enthusiast.
Afkomstig uit de lieu-dit 'Aux Caves' in de appellatie Moulin-à-Vent.

Anita gebruikt daarvoor alleen terroirs van hoge kwaliteit. Met dezelfde 'drive' stopt ze tegenwoordig al haar energie in het maken van Beaujolais-wijnen op Domaine Anita. Anita Neveu was vroeger professioneel wielrenster.
